How boring would it be if you went to a play on Broadway and the actors never moved? If they recite every line from the same exact spot for the two-three hours you’re there? I bet you’d want a refund, right? So why is it that oftentimes, speakers seem to be super glued to one area of their speaking space?

In this lesson, we’re going to learn how to command the space and leverage your speaking area to deliver a powerful presentation that will excite and inspire your audience.

Whether you’re in a small conference room for a staff meeting or on the platform of an arena stage, your speaking space is a powerful tool that can enhance your presentation or speech. Stand front and center, avoid hiding behind the podium and use a remote so you’re not stuck to your laptop.

And most importantly, engage your audience by facing them, not the screen. The last thing you want is for your audience to forget everything you said, but remember what your back looked like!
