In public speaking, your face is like the Sistine Chapel. From eye contact to genuine smiles, your facial expression is the picture that speaks a thousand words to the audience.

In this lesson, we’re going to cover how to use eye contact to connect with your audience and how to use a genuine smile to win the room. If you add this tool to your public speaking kit — and practice —, you will see a difference.

Be more “eye bold” by switching between looking at specific people in the audience and sweeping across the whole crowd. DO NOT just read off of the screen.

It’s “Touch, Turn, Talk” not “Touch, Stay, and Lose the audience.” And use that genuine smile to send a universal message of friendliness and openness to the crowd that will invite them to connect with you.
