Lesson Progress

Movement is a secret weapon to public speaking greatness. You don’t have to tap into your inner “80’s dancing queen” but with just the right moves, you can command the stage and capture the crowd’s attention — minus the “Sprinkler” and leg warmers.

In this lesson, we’re going to learn how to move with conviction by using your body as an instrument to amplify your message and captivate your audience.

Remember to move with conviction means to never move without reason. Repetitive motion is distracting so manage your movements by timing them with significant moments throughout your presentation — when you’re making a point or transitioning into a new section.

Practice “blocking” by putting intentional thought and preparation into which parts of the stage you should move to and when.
