“Practice how you play.”
This is my favorite quote from the late, great, Kobe Bryant, and it’s the kind of thinking that makes people great. Its meaning is clear: there is a direct correlation between how you practice and how you perform. High level practice = high level performance.
This kind of mindset isn’t just for athletes; Broadway performers practice for weeks before ever taking the stage. You too can practice like the best!
Run through your presentation as close to the real thing as you can. Read it out loud. If you have enough time, invite a small group to watch you present and give you feedback. Bonus: this will also help calm your nerves, since you will have gotten on stage/on camera before the real presentation.
